Green River, Tuxedo and Zirconia Community Plan

Green River, Tuxedo and Zirconia Community Plan

The Green River, Tuxedo and Zirconia (GRTZ) Community Plan is competed, following Board of Commissioners adoption of the plan February 19, 2014. The County will begin working to implement the various elements of the plan.

Background: On April 2, 2012 the Board of Commissioners approved the creation of a community plan for the Green River, Tuxedo & Zirconia area. This Community Plan is the fourth of a series recommended by the County's Comprehensive Plan adopted in 2004. The County previously completed community plans for Etowah, Horse Shoe, Edneyville, and Dana.

The planning effort will be guided by community input and an advisory committee consisting of 10 members who live, work or own property or a business within the planning area boundary. Below are links to the adopted charter, an overview of the planning process, and the current community planning area boundary map.

The committee received public input through a mailed survey sent to every property owner in the planning area and a public input meeting held on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 (see the Public Input Results).
