If you are unable to find the book you need in our collection then our Interlibrary Loan Service may be for you. Since it's not possible for every library to own every item Interlibrary Loan is a way libraries nationwide can share their collections.
To request an Interlibrary Loan stop by the Main Library Reference Desk or

Genealogists realize that much of their research is a painstaking process requiring tenacity, patience, and sometimes travel. When internet resources and local genealogical services have been exhausted, there’s always the possibility of obtaining additional information through Interlibrary Loan. Microfilm, print resources, and photocopied materials may contain just the ancestral facts you are looking for. Ask at the reference desk for the appropriate form for book or microfilm. Be sure to include specific information needed (names, places, dates) in case the items requested are non-circulating. Some libraries will not part with their genealogical collection, but will photocopy pertinent information. Include what fee you are willing to pay for the service since some libraries charge for their efforts. Please realize- this is NOT a research service! Interlibrary Loan can only process requests for specific titles. Microfilm/fiche must be used in the NC room and may not leave the library. Our knowledgeable genealogy room volunteers may be able to assist patrons in identifying specific resources and citations necessary for Interlibrary Loan.
